Smashing Pumpkins
Radiohead

And then many moderate favorites like Eels and Counting Crows...but mostly the first two there.

I can't believe you like U2 AG. I thought you were cool...:damn: As for me: the Beatles, John Lennon, the Shins, the Astrojet, the A-Sides, Goo Goo Dolls, the Hollies, the Streets, the Ramones, 3, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coheed and Cambria, the Kinks and the Zombies, some Coldplay, and some Wings. There are probably more, but I can't...think about stuff.

Well...I listen to way too much music....but here are a few bands I've been in love with lately:

Neutral Milk Hotel
Death Cab for Cutie
Belle & Sebastian
Rooney
Hot Hot Heat
The New Pornographers

And about a million others. I don't really have a life or anything. Le sigh.

Sweet...I've been thinking about listening to some Hot Hot Heat. The fact that they're Canadian just seals the deal.

ah a couple of suggested bands above i also really dig- death cab and the eels are a couple of my all time favs.
hey sooper have you got the postal service record? incredible album- on par if not better than death cab in my opinion.
grand stuff indeed.
as for other bands i listen to a lot of australian bands you guys would probably never heard of... exceptions maybe crowded house and you am i?

hey whats up with 'fiddy cent' breaking all these chart records that the beatles set in the US?
pop music is in real bad shape at the moment

hey now - no such thing as "listening to way too much music!!"

other good 'uns:

the flaming lips
flogging molly (irish punk, but deceptively melodic!)
matt pond, PA
the aeronautical legends
ash
gratitude
damien rice (who needs to put out something new)

yeah! rock music rules the school.

mmm, deatch cab for cutie, the thrills, and the shins are awesome indie/indierock bands.
But I love, the ramones (our punk-rock saviors), RHCP, goo goo dolls, the kinks, weezer, phantom planet, jet, ted leo + pharmicists (album- shake the sheets is geinus), the hives, the white stripes, hot hot heat, oasis, the strokes, green day (their new album is insane, you must admit) .. yeah, and alot more.

well, probably far too many to list, but i'll try:

john eddie, old 97s, u2, bruce springsteen, the kinks, warren zevon, weezer, trout fishing in america, arrogant worms, the beatles, r.e.m. (though not their new album, which, sadly, sucks a little bit), jackson browne, the prodigals, flogging molly, bright eyes, death cab for cutie, steve earle, elvis costello, they might be giants, elvis presley (yes, i grew up listening to elvis, so sue me...), damien rice... and now i'm tired of listing people so that's enough. but yeah, i <3 music. it's my boyfriend.

Warren Zevon? Nice.....I can't believe somebody listed him. He was an amazing song writer. Here's a few of mine, even though there are way too many to list.

Tom Petty
Matthew Sweet
Ryan Adams
Jesse Malin
The Kinks
The Clash
The Beatles
The Hollies
The Astrojet
The Shins
Ivy
SundayRunners
Jet
Feeder
Killers

Still my guitar gently weeps
