Right now I'm listening to Guns and Roses...and I hate that type of music. I have no idea why I occasionally get a hankering to listen to the Use Your Illusion albums. It's like a sickness, a musical perversion for which you draw the drapes and hope nobody hears the disgusting thing you are doing. OK that's enough of that metaphor. How about youz guyz? :banoonoo: <-Axl Rose

No I don't really, I tend to listen to music I like, I use music to keep myself happy or to cheer myself up.

However, I often hear songs I don't like on the radio and end up with them going through my head for what seems like an eternity.

I am sure I listen to quite a bit of music that other people don't like though :D.

wait, i have worse
now, all my friends are huge rock punk fans eg
nirvana, slipknot, muse, the chillies
im not so into these bands
then it slowly emerged that they could all play mcfly on their guitars and are huge busted fans

i find it all slightly embarrasing

Okay, I don't actually own any of these cds but I can't help but listen to them on the radio. I find myself singing to them and dancing around. I totally blame Another Girl for these: Avril Lavigne (affectionally known as Advil) and Ashley Simpson.

i don't listen to things i should hate...at least i don't think i do...the only thing i can think of that comes remotely close is The Streets...who's a UK rap artist...that's right...one guy named The Streets...but he's so much better than that...i think most actually consider him Garage/Underground...but everyone should give him a listen...even though you may hate it...so my two cents is "Listen to The Streets."

My guilty pleasure must be IVY i guess... They are the only band outside of the Punk-Rock-Heavy&Industrial&Symphonic metal-Blues-Ska-Jazz I'm usually listening to. IVY is a one of a kind in my collection, My favorit band too but i can't listen to them with anybody else....accept AG. MMM Ann Arbor MI.....awsome memories

I would definitely not say that Ivy is a guilty pleasure. Ivy is fantabulous! I was listening to them the other day when I was pissed off. It really calmed me down and I forgot how much I liked them. Plus Beer, I know how much you like Dom.

music you are forced to listen to that grows on you

Just had to add:
Forced by my daughters to listen to soundtracks from "That Girl was a Teenage Drama Queen," "Cheetah Girls" (Hope 7's "Breakthrough") and the My Scene video, Jammin in Jamaica, which has the actually quite cool song, Radio Wave by Leslie Mills.

Of course you like the My Scene music. Britta Phillips is the voice. Plus, it sounds like something Fountains of Wayne would write. Kinda......

Thanks, Dreske. Now I don't feel so old. I should mention my daughters are still pretty little, but they think they are teenagers. Could get scary in a few years. At least they don't listen to Britney.

No clue. I don't get embarassed easily when it comes to music, I don't download much of anything, and I only buy albums that I know I'll listen to...I'll say either Wesley Willis or The Wipers (the latter because I hate explaining to people who the fuck the Wipers are).

In 2000, George W. Bush, the Connecticut-born, Yale-educated, son of a former President, ran as an outsider. Historians are still trying to figure out how the fuck he pulled that off.
