FoW Troubled Times Article

A music article appeared today in the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Although it was not about Fountains of Wayne in the least, at the bottom it promises an article on Troubled Times to appear next week. So I guess on the 16th we'll have ourselves an article. Here's a link to the current one:

I was vaguely hoping the story would be about Troubled Times imminent re-release, when it would become the worldwide hit it always deserved to be. Then I read this:

To mark the 50th anniversary of the rock revolution, the Sentinel is re-assessing the popular songs of the last half-century. H

It was hardly a popular song, though it's not just my favourite Fountains of Wayne song, but one of my all-time favourite tunes ever recorded, so I'm looking forward to reading about it! Hopefully the review will open up some new people to Fountains of Wayne...

On a sidenote - why that song was never a hit is beyond me. Mind you, a lot of things are beyond me these days :D.

Probably too classy for radio, given some of the stuff you hear there these days :dammit: (my sarcastic comment for the day).

I think like Alex, I wonder if it would be worth a shot at re-release, given they now have a bit of profile. Not that Fountains of Wayne would probably consider it I guess.
