It definitely does sound like it will be awesome. This is the first song I have heard as a full on "electric" band. The others played accoustically
have been good but I always think they do some good heavier stuff to.
according to fountains of wayne twitter adam wrote this song with some guy.its easy to laugh at these campy broadway style numbers but you really have
to be amazed at the complexity of these types of songs and the witty lyrics.
of course brook shields had to fuck it all up.

its almost supernatural how he doesnt seem to hit bad notes. chris always sounds so good. in a day and age where alot of singers voices are created in
the studio and are embarresing live, he just has such a natural singing voice and a command of pitch he doesnt waver on and off key like so many
singers.
on a down note I'm still waiting for him to bring back that style of singing for new stuff.
you know that gravely vocal style he does on supercollider/go hippy/little red light. the slight cobain growl.
Thanks for the link, SilentRunning. The video was taken at Fuji Rock Festival '11. Maybe 1-2 songs of their performance at Fuji will be aired on Fuji
TV Next. http://www.fujitv.co.jp/otn/fujirock11/index.html
Someone has posted a video of Fountains of Wayne at Summer Sonic '04 on nicovideo.jp.

I did not realise that footage was from the Fuji Rock Festival. The picture Chris posted made it look a lot bigger, but I bet a lot of that has to do
with perspective!
During their visit to The Netherlands last November the guys also recorded a live session for an indie radio show called "2-meter-sessies".
5 songs:
1. The Summer Place
2. A Road Song
3. Valley Winter Song
4. Joe Rey
5. Richie & Ruben
It also includes a couple of songs they did for the same show back in 1997: Sink to the Bottom and Leave the Biker, and a short interview, which is
not very interesting, apart from another hint that Adam and Chris are not friends anymore.... The interview is also augmented by a chainsaw in the
background. Oh, the irony....
