How do we find our favourite FOW song?
Well with a new album on the way I thought that it would be a good time for us to try and work out this forums collective favourite Fountains of Wayne
song!
Now this poses a big question about how we go about doing this? Do we just all have a free for all and vote for every Fountains of Wayne song ever
recorded (or not in some cases?) or do we try and have a tournement with knock out rounds etc?
My personal preference is for a tournement style poll where everyone nominates 2 songs from each of their albums (plus I think a category for songs
not on an album might be considered due to the amount of non album tracks recorded). Following this initial nomination the highest scoring two tracks
from each album would go through to the next round where a vote would take place. Every user would get about 3 or 4 votes. After the results from the
vote are in then the highest rated 5 tracks would go together for a final vote. If there was a very close call for the top two tracks then a head to
head tie breaker may be called for.
Thats just the idea off the top of my head. If anyone has any improvements then please make suggestions.
A free for all with everyone allowed to vote for their favourite Fountains of Wayne songs would spread the vote quite thin I think. However if thats
what people would prefer then I will go with that.
If you like this idea and want to give it a go then I will start a thread in a few days time (I need to check if there are ways to do a poll/vote in
this forum otherwise it will be done externally!!!).

1) I personally would find it difficult to choose my two favorite songs on each album, considering that changes from time to time, but I would try.
2) For Out-of-State Plates, would we pick two from each disc or two from the entire compilation?
3) Are we waiting until after the new album to decide that? I'm all ready to choose "Cold Comfort Flowers" and "Cemetery Guns" as my favorites
off the new one, though the case could differ.
4) There's a "New Poll" option at the top of the page next to the "New Topic" button, if that's what you're trying to do.

Agree on Cold comfort flowers and Cemetery Guns, they are flat out awesome.
The snow is coming down, on our New England town, and it's been falling all day long...

Troubled Times is one of my all-time favourite songs, and in three gigs I haven't seen them perform it live.
Radiation Vibe is my favourite from the debut, just because of the sheer joy of that chorus.
Otherwise I'd find it difficult to decide.
