Its not that bad really. We were waiting 13 years for Chinese Democracy!
At least they have not made a firm promise and broken it. I mean if they had said that it was definitely coming out this year then I would be
disappointed if it doesn't arrive in time. I am just glad they have not given up on it and we will have some more stuff.
My big worry is that without a major label backing then the band wont hit the UK on a tour again. Last time they played Manchester the venue was only
half full (they should have come 2 months later after Someone to Love made the A list on Radio 2!!!!).

Or Chris could fire the entire band and grow deadlocks and get a guy with a KFC chicken bucket on his head to play in the new "Fountains of Wayne".
But hey intown, just a quick question about Chinese Democracy. Ok it rocked. But was it worth the wait? Was it 13 years worth of rock?
Oooh and a bit of trivia related to Chinese Democracy, that first guitar riff you hear was written by Josh Freese (mentioned earlier in this thread).

Actually, Adam talked about the new album at Maxwell's show last week, "our new album is turning into our ‘Chinese Democracy’, since it’s taking so
long."
And Chris said, "Maybe we’ll call it ‘Chinese Delivery’”

I dont know if it was worth the wait, I can tell you I was expecting it to suck so hard that when I heard it I was really surprised at the depth and
sound of different tracks.it was heavy yet very tuneful and axel sung his ass off.
as for chris I've heard him tell what appears to be a joke of some kind at various concerts and I can tell you the part thats supposed to pass for a
punchline always leaves me and usually everyone else staring into space confused as fuck.

I thought it wasn't 13 years worth of album if you get my drift. I expected like songs beneath the songs and loads of really clever stuff.
Anyway, I think what might work on the tour bus as a good joke might not work on the crowd cos we don't know all of the background. Still I do like
hearing Chris's jokes and his banter with the crowd.

it's hard to joke onstage. A singer should do it only if he's 100 % sure the crowd will get it.

heres an example I filmed at bearsville.
the keyboard wasnt working so some roadies came ontage to fix the problem, which led chris to drop this neutron bomb
on the crowd.

See, it's kind of funny... and then Adam says "What??" and it's Fountains of Wayne magic!
There's something blurry about Another Girl...

Yes, the "What??" really makes it magical. I'm eagerly awaiting a
Fountains of Wayne comedy album.

what I find most funny about that clip is,right after he says the "punchline" you hear a couple tithers in the crowd for a split second and
then...the crowd goes silent.
whats happening is, we all do it,someone we like tells a joke, and they say what is obviously a punchline so we sort of pre emptively laugh AND THEN
we sort of process what was being said.
and thats what happened here.he said a joke, and then people out of politeness laughed initially and then they processed the joke and were
like.....what the fuck?
