I am sure they addressed this probably before but I wonder why they don't perform "that thing you do" live at their shows regularly.

It's not actually a Fountains of Wayne song, so that would be why. It was written by Adam, which is the connection to Fountains of Wayne.

It was sung in the film by the fictitious group The Wonders (Mike Viola actually sang the vocal from memory).

thanks for posting this.he's jokes around about his talent in comparison to the beatles, But I've always thought that there was a sort of parallel there.

IMO he's McCartney to chris's Lennon. its my perception Adam writes the more full out popular and accessible stuff and chris writes the more obtuse edgy stuff.

I'm really excited to hear the new CD, since I happen to think the few new tunes I have heard so far are fantastic.

my only advice to adam is,see that volume slider bar on the console that has a sticker that says Jody above it? push that slider up beeatch.

further confirmation chris is working on a solo CD.such awesome news.

I get excited wondering what a chris solo CD would even sound like,I hope its weird in a good way.
like its not Fountains of Wayne part 2, but something a little different.

sucks the new Fountains of Wayne CD is a long ways off, but cripes sake cant they at least tell us another song title or something? I know bands like to keep unreleased material secret as long as they can, but something.

they dont even have to tell us the actual name. just riddle it.
like cemetary guns would be dead body resting place firearms .

oh come on.people are people. like if there was a forum with people writing about you you wouldnt drop in and see what their saying. bands dont acknowledge message boards.they feel it makes them look boring and needy that they read what fans write about them.and this appears to be the most together forum of Fountains of Wayne as sad as depressing as that may seem.no way they dont stop in.

as far as him seeming surprised there was a leak, nah, I think its weird to see people know words to new songs, so, thats the joke you put forth to the audience.whaaa a leak? no way they dont know the CD's leaked.they and the record company and lots of Fountains of Wayne's close friends are in the music field.they know when their CD's leaked.
