Almost all of those are Astrojet songs. Should be a good album. I love Waiting For The Stars and The Kids Get Higher.

thanks for the heads up thats seriously awesome! I didnt know what to expect music style wise and vocal wise from him but I am surprised on both
fronts.
it has a guitar heavy messy yet beautiful jangly sound to the track.I knew I was going to like it when the riff started up and builded. great hooks in
the song and harmonys, and honestly I was expecting his vocal to be the typical "guitar player tries to sing lead" kind of vocal, but he's got a
really good voice that fits the material.
and I love unlike chris, the vocal has some kind of EQ and effect on it. 99% of chris's vocals on FOW CD's are as dry as 3 week old meatloaf. its
good to hear a vocal that has a sort of shine to it.
I wish his vocal was upfront a tad more as it sounds so good.anyways this really bodes well for the rest of the CD which Im going to buy as soon as I
can.I just keep playin it over and over again.awesome!

A Beautiful Life has been around since 2004. I even made a shirt to wear to my first FOW concert that refrenced that song. Of course Jody didn't
get it.....

I Jody. I solo albums. I think people should make more of them. (I'm looking at you, Chris.)
I'm really excited for this album, although I'm slightly disappointed I've heard most of the songs. Still, they are awesome. Does anyone know if he
rerecorded them, or are they the original Astrojet songs?

I haven't heard any of these songs, so I think Beautiful Life is great! i hope the rest of the album is as good. I wonder if he'll do a small club
US tour?
...and it may be the whiskey talking, but the whiskey says I miss you every day...

God forbid the japanese dont get their precious bonus tracks. the whole system would descend into anarchy and the streets would run red with soy
sauce.
I also dont like this trend where artists are so indie...you cant find their CD's thru conventional means.its always a hassle and a mystery where you
will be able to get it. this happens to me everynow and then, I like some obscure or new indie performer and I now have to scour the net and tiny out
of the way record stores like indiana jones looking for the ark of the covenant.
everything should be on I-tunes across the boards, problem solved.whats so difficult I dont understand.

There used to be a Japanese fan site, but it may have now wandered off into netherland.
In any case, they still have the official site`s Japanese version:
http://www.fountainsofwayne.com/jp/main.html
Perhaps the official site should have an Australian version.
I don`t remember, I don`t recall
I got no memory of anything at all......

Just found this:
http://www.myspace.com/jodyporternyc
To The Moon seems to be the old Astrojet version unless its different to the one on the CD.
EDIT - that's weird... when I posted this the last 3 or 4 posts in this thread were not there...

Listened to beeyootiful lyfe on Mr. Porters myspace page. It was okay, I'd go so faar as to say it was better than I expected. I am surprized that
he was able to focus for long enough to record an entire cd by hisself. Will have to hear more before I commit. I haven't ever heard any of the
previous versions, so it will all be new to me.

11 of the 13 are Astrojet songs for sure. Songs 8-10 are by far the best. I used to love listening to "You're Not Alone" while tripping on acid.
Also on "Waiting for the Stars to Fall" you hear these really loud church bells during the chorus if you are high. Not so loud if you aren't.

Okay. I had my laugh. That should hold me over for a while. Back to my life of solitude.
