Pay TV had a "Dr Who - a - thon" here recently where they showed seasons 1 and 2 of the new series.

Being a fan of the old show I find the new one to be excellent. I like both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, while Billie Piper will be sadly missed in season 3.

The writing is still great, the major difference of course is the considerable improvement in the special effects.

I must admit I was a bit the same when I first watched it, because I only watched intermittent episodes.

When I watched them all in sequence, even though they were separate stories, there were still recurring themes which then made a lot more sense (probably more sense than this post, haha).

You want to watch "Daleks in Manhatten" and "Evoloution of the Dareks" Which is a two part episode and "Utopia" Which was on last Sat then "The sound of Drums" which is on next Saturday and the one after which is "The last Timelord". This is the three part Finale of this series and looks FANTASTIC. Im sure if you look you can find some torrents or downloads from somewhere have a look on www.isohunt.com :-)

Actually, season three is about to start here in Australia (in late June I think).

So I will wait for that now, given it is not far away.

It is good here because it is shown on the ABC (the national broadcaster like your BBC) and they don't have ads!!

Good to see the old Daleks are still up and firing, it just wouldn't be Dr Who without them.

Exterminate, exterminate.......

I just saw the first episode of Season 3 tonight - they showed the "Christmas" episode (between Seasons 2 and 3) on Thursday night.

I must say that although I was very disappointed with losing Rose (Billie P), I find Martha Jones to be an extremely adequate replacement. I don't think it will take long to warm to her at all.

Roll on next Saturday night!!
