I've watched enough COPS to know for every stay at home playstation 2 playing stoner out there ,there is the one that will slide his car into
someones front porch, and then walk down the street staggering and bleeding and say.....wha...what? when the police roll up on him.

I've never heard that he was anti-drug except for this site. I'm not going to believe it until it's up on wikipedia.

well for just one instance, this fairly recent article. where the interviewer notes to adam that chris is known for being evry anti-drug. not only
that he goes on to comment about how "one of the 2 songwriters in very anti-drug, and I notice adam doesnt correct him.
KTVU.com: I've read in several articles that Chris is very anti-drug, yet there are a lot of alcohol or drug references in more than a few Fountains
of Wayne songs. Clearly, they aren't glorifying drug use, but direct drug references in songs like "Bright Future in Sales" or "Go Hippie" and
now "Planet of Weed" on Traffic and Weather seem to pop up with relative frequency. Can you speak to why that happens when one of the main
songwriters is anti-drug?
Adam Schlesinger: Well I don't know why you would read those songs as pro-drug in any way. I mean, all the characters in those songs are basically
having problems because of the alcohol or drugs. They are basically just little stories, you know, and obviously some of them are meant to be sillier
than others.
KTVU.com: And I want to be clear that I don't interpret those songs as being "pro-drug" in any way. I just wondered by it came up as often as it
does in a band where one of the two main sonwriters is anti-drug.
Adam Schlesinger: Well, you know, I think it's a case by case thing but I think in certain songs its because its part of reality and you are telling
little stories. "Bright Future in Sales" is a story about a guy whose a drunk and he's trying to get his life together.

Wow, I just read the first page of this thread and wondered how I knew the title of Traffic and Weather before anyone else, and had to keep it a
secret! Notice how I wrote 'TAW' at the end of my posts.
I did soon remember how I knew.
