• Jody, Jody the Hatfield Guitar-ody. Fountains of Wayne's Jody Porter (well, we like to think he's theirs anyway, but Jody is like the wind...) helped out Julianna Hatfield with some guitar work her new album "How to Walk Away" (Spoiler: Legs). Look for it on June 10th. (Stereo Gum)
• Chris Goes Back to College Chris will perform an acoustic set on April 25th at Wesleyan College, Buckhannon, WV. The other members of Fountains of Wayne will be serving drinks in cocktail dresses. (Official FoW Site)

• Adam Produces Dashboard. According to a post today on Punk News, Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger has started work on producing the new Dashboard Confessional Album with the band. No word on a release date yet. They still make CDs, right? (Punk News)

• Benefit Concert Fountains of Wayne will be playing a benefit concert for PAX/Real Solutions to Gun Violence on February 23rd.
  Where: Crash Mansion, 199 Bowery, at Spring Street in Manhattan.
  When: 6:30 to 9 p.m. Feb 23rd

• Brian Wastes no Time In addition to the October update you've all come to know and love over the last four months, Fountains of Wayne's Brian Young has also been recording with Sarah Watkins from Nickel Creek and has produced a song for an upcoming The Posies tribute record to be released on Burning Sky Records this Spring.
• Simple Love Here's a recent quote from Adam, when asked why most songs are about love: "You Can Encapsulate Feelings of Regret, Panic, and Desperation in a Two-and-a-Half-Minute Pop Song." And of course when he says "You" he really means "Only Fountains of Wayne". (Eagle Tribune)

• TiFoW Fountains of Wayne played on behalf of all musicians throughout history--and probably ate crabcakes--at a party for TiVo to "usher" in the Rhapsody music service to its lineup. In related and made-up news, Jody is now in jail for punching the guy in the idiotic TiVo costume. (C Net)
